I'm not much of a gamer, but I liked that the game decided to just hit you with wave upon wave of enemies, as opposed to an expected one-on-one confrontation. I kind of like the idea of there being no boss battle at the end of BioShock 2.

Great experiences though! It was very immerse, although I still wonder how they managed to keep all those windowed tunnels free from algae and gunk? The whole everyone-involuntary-made-to-sacrifice-for-vague-utopian-promise just seemed unoriginal. It seems like it could have worked with a biotechnology-enforced radical socialism as a reaction to Ryan's philosophy, in which everyone was forced/brainwashed to be "equal" and do things they didn't like to keep Rapture afloat. On the other hand, Sofia Lamb and what she tries to do just seems to be crazy and inexplicable. You could see Ryan's struggles, as his philosophy allowed people like Fontaine to rise and compromised his vision in other ways. the actual reality, it was really fascinating.įinally, I think the whole Randist philosophy worked better in the first game, and did well with the story. Toward the end of 2, I loved the juxtaposition of the little sister world view vs. It was really cumbersome to have to cycle through them. I would have liked to have dedicated "switch and fire" keys, or key combinations given the number of weapons involved. It was also really annoying how the plasmid positions kept reshuffling when upgrading them, and how they wouldn't stick to assigned keys when playing on the PC. Also, you never actually get to fight/kill Dr. Also the boss fights seem easy if you just use hypnotize and/or traps. It's great when you get to use what you learned/practiced, but I never really felt that way here.

One of my gripes was that Bioshock doesn't seem to really know how to do satisfying bosses. Bioshock 1 was nice though, since it actually had a single (albeit easy) superboss. I also wanted to be able to kill Sofia Lamb myself, though for all her craziness. Made me sad that I had to kill Sinclair though.

I liked the bioshock 2 ending (the good ending) better than the bioshock 1 ending. No usable transportation plasmid? I was really looking forward to that. How do I extract sounds/textures/models from the game? Is the Season Pass / Ultimate Rapture Edition worth it? What order should I play the games / Do I have to play all the games to understand BioShock Infinite or Burial at Sea?
